Did you know you can record your desktop or your screen using Microsoft PowerPoint and you don't need any additional software to do this.

How to Record Your Screen With Microsoft PowerPoint


To record your screen go up to the top ribbon click on insert and all the way over on the right-hand side you'll see an option for screen recording if we click on this will drop me on the desktop and I could select the area of my desktop that I want to record.

You can simply select the entire screen and then click on record, after that a small window will show and it will show you the shortcut key that you could press to record the screen, the short cut is windows logo + shift + Q.

If you want to stop the recording, you could move the mouse up to top middle of the screen and it will show you the recorder Control buttons then press on the stop button to stop the recording.

After recording the screen and finish recording you can use the shortcut windows logo + shift and Q to stop the recording.

You now see that my screen recording is inserted into Microsoft PowerPoint and this is not just limited to using the screen recording within PowerPoint only you could right click on it and you could also save this screen recording video as an mp4 if I want to use this elsewhere.
